Jeremy Pinnell In-Store at Grimey’s – 6pm
From the Grimey’s website: “‘Ties of Blood and Affection’ (out Aug 11) sees Pinnell finding comfort in his own skin and achieving the redemption only hinted at in his previous batch of haunted songs. Pinnell joyfully embraces the working life, family obligations, and faith. His new stories delve into acceptance and survival, all the while investigating his most challenging chapter yet: adulthood. New Faces Nite at The Basement – 8pm
Featuring City in the Clouds, Hibbity Dibbity, Kacie Sweirk, The Killing Floor, Joel Woodcock, and Starbenders.

Thee Rock’n’Roll Residency at Mercy Lounge – 8pm, 18+
Started in April of ’13 by guitarists Jeremy Asbrock and Phil Shouse, Thee Rock N’ Roll Residency has become the longest-running, star-studdedest, Rock N’ Roll extravaganza in Nashville, TN.

Lunch & Learn: Total Solar Eclipse w/ Dr. William Teets at Tennessee State Museum – 12:15pm
Vanderbilt Astronomer Dr. William Teets will speak on the total solar eclipse that will take place on Monday, August 21. In this presentation, he will discuss how a solar eclipse happens, why this is such a rare occurrence, and what we can expect. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from an astronomer all about the total solar eclipse coming to Tennessee’s sky.

The Stone Pages: Tribute to Iconic Bands of the 60s and 70s at The Basement East – 8pm

Service Industry Nite at Beast Pub – 9pm
Featuring cheap brews from Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales and cocktails from Stolen Rum. DJ sets from members of local punk band SEXX.


Lightning 100 Friday Afternoon Live at Soulshine Pizza – 5pm
Join Adam Culver and the Lightning 100 crew every Friday from 5pm-8pm for Lightning 100’s Friday Afternoon Live Presented by Sugarlands Distilling Company and Devils Backbone Brewing Company. At 7pm The Local Artist of the Week will perform.


Pre-Eclipse Bluegrass Street Jam at Gallatin’s Historic Downtown Square – 6-10:30pm 
On the Saturday before the eclipse, thousands of visitors will be in Gallatin looking for an experience before the big event. On the sidewalks of downtown Gallatin, bluegrass musicians are encouraged to bring your group or join in with others to bluegrass standards.

Musician’s Corner at Centennial Park – 12pm
Featuring Son Volt, Blank Range, Brandy Zdan, and Wilder on the main stage.

Jazz on the Lawn at Beachaven Vineyards and Winery – 6:30pm
Music always starts at 6:30pm and goes until 9:30pm. Because seating is “general admission,” it pays to get arrive early to get both a good parking spot and a good viewing spot on the lawn.

Nashville Metal DJ Night at Beast Pub – 11:30pm
The official Metal Fest 3 Afterparty.


Bluegrass Jam at Station Inn – 8pm
Bring your musical instrument of choice and be ready to jammmmmm.
