Open House: A Comedy Open Mic Night at Mercy Lounge – 7:30pm, 21+
Open House is a comedy open mic for people who love comedy and openness. It will be a night of joy, tears and the occasional snort-laugh. So, come on down and watch some comedians tell funnies OR hop onstage and give it a try yourself. Hosted by Gary Fletcher.

8 off 8th at the Mercy Lounge – 8pm, 21+
This week’s 8 off 8th will feature performances by Hurts To Laugh, Bang OK Bang, Fancytramp, Planet Ink, Deep Machine, The Lonely H and Kin Ship.


198th Anniversary of the Battle of New Orleans at The Hermitage – 9am-4:30pm
An event commemorating one of Jackson’s big military battles. They’ll hang a wreath on his tomb, and Pulitzer Prize winning author Jon Meacham will be speaking. Admisson is free in general.


American Idol Season 12 Premiere Event at Regal Green Hills – 6pm
Watch the first episode of the new season of Idol a week early. Also, there will be a Q&A with the judges and Ryan Seacrest. RSVP here.

Country music.

Old Time Jam at the 5 Spot – 7:30pm
East Nashville’s Wednesday Night Old Time Jam provides enthusiasts of traditional, acoustic-based roots music the opportunity to regularly meet, share tunes, dance, swap stories, and bond together in general camaraderie.


BMI Presents at Two Old Hippies – 6pm
Live country and folk rock music by songwriters as BMI Presents: Keesy Timmer, Mallorie Haley and Taylor Watson at Two Old Hippies in the Gulch neighborhood.


Kristin Tubb at Parnassus Books – 6:30pm
Join Parnassus Books in welcoming and celebrating local author Kristin Tubb as she debuts her first fantasy novel, The 13th Sign!

10 Year Anniversary Show: Night 1 at the Mercy Lounge – 8pm
Get there early and get in for FREE! Tonight you’ll see performances from JEFF the Brotherhood, Tristen, Wild Cub andRI¢HIE.


Casa Azafrán Migration Mural Unveiling at Casa Azafran Community Center – 10am
The Casa Azafrán Community Center will unveil it’s mural, “Migration,” which undoubtedly will soon be a landmark at the gateway to Nashville’s international district.

Kids Club: Express Yourself! at the Frist Center – 10:30am, 1pm, 3pm
Designed for 5–10 year olds. Featured activity: Explore beginning printmaking and the language of German Expressionism. Participants will create a woodcut-style print incorporating human figures, landscapes, or any expressive ideas.

Fresh Start Fitness at Lakeshore Christian Church – 2pm
This is a FREE community event with vendors, nutrition and cooking demos, door prizes, workout demos, and more. Keynote Speaker is Lauren Lee from NBC’s The Biggest Loser, Season 12.

Flowers for Fannie Premiere at Springfield Baptist Church – 7pm
World premiere screening of faith-based family feature film shot in Springfield, Tennessee. This will be a red-carpet premiere with all the actors and crew present.

10 Year Anniversary Show: Night 1 at the Mercy Lounge – 8pm
Same deal as last night–if you’re in line early enough you’ll get in for free. Performers include Cherub, The Weeks, Machines Are People Too and Ravello.
