Open House: A Comedy Open Mic Night at Mercy Lounge – 7:30pm, 21+
Open House is a comedy open mic for people who love comedy and openness. It will be a night of joy, tears and the occasional snort-laugh. So, come on down and watch some comedians tell funnies OR hop onstage and give it a try yourself. Hosted by Gary Fletcher.

8 off 8th at the Mercy Lounge – 8pm, 21+
This week’s 8 off 8th will feature performances by The Maloneys, Birdcloud, LYLAS, Gay Vibes, Nikki Lane, RI¢HIE, Quichenight and Courtney Jaye.

Blue Monday with Kenny Vaughan and Jeffrey Clemens of G. Love at 12 South Taproom – 9:30pm, 21+
Jeff Clemens, Kenny Vaughan, & Johnny d’Artenay make up this blues trio that has changed Mondays in Nashville forever. Talent is one thing but timing and taste take this group to a level far and away from anything else in town. Come see for yourself what everyone in 12 South has known for a while now.


Holiday Concert: Bella Voice at the Frist – 2pm
Bella Voce, Dallas Christian Academy’s select choir from Dallas, Texas, is a part of DCA’s touring live arts program, which includes hand-bells, vocals, instruments, human art, performance art and visual arts.

Film Screening: Beauty Is Embarrassing by Neil Berkeley at TN Tech U. Backdoor Playhouse – 7pm
A documentary on the life and current times of artist Wayne White. You may know him from his work on Pee-Wee’s Playhouse or Peter Gabriel and Smashing Pumpkin music videos.


Old Time Jam at the 5 Spot – 7:30pm
East Nashville’s Wednesday Night Old Time Jam provides enthusiasts of traditional, acoustic-based roots music the opportunity to regularly meet, share tunes, dance, swap stories, and bond together in general camaraderie.

DNR Publishing presents: A Night of Free Speech at Cafe Coco – 8pm
DNR Publishing presents another installment of A Night of Free Speech. Hosted by Honest Lewis, the night is a mix of music and readings from local artists, writers and philosophers. Come early to sign up for open mic slots, or contact DNR Publishing to confirm time slot in advance. Spread the word, bring a friend, bring your words and spread ideas.


Music at the Frist: Contrarian Ensemble at the Frist – 6pm
The Contrarian Ensemble performs an eclectic variety of dance music from the 1300s to the present, including traditional tunes from the U.S., the British Isles and Europe, as well as original compositions. The group often performs reels, jigs, and waltzes for contra dances in the region.

Gypsy Hombres at 12 South Taproom – 8:30pm
The Gypsy Hombres are violin/guitar based trio that blends traditional jazz with European, South American, and classical music.


Winter Hiking at South Cumberland State Park – 3pm
Don’t be afraid of the cold! Join Ranger Jason at the Grundy Forest parking lot for a talk/hike on cold weather hiking and preparedness. The trail will be a moderate 2 miles.

End of Kegs at 12 South Taproom – 5pm
12 South Taproom doesn’t actually believe the world will end, but they’ll find any excuse for a party. Best part of this party? If you buy their limited-edition “End of Kegs” koozie you’ll get FREE BEER!!!


Saturday Sing-a-Long Story Time with Auntie Bobbins at Parnassus Books – 10:30am
Join the fine folks at Parnassus Books for a special sing-a-long story time with Auntie Bobbins, from Turtle Radio!

The Bridge to Christmas at Municipal Auditorium – 2-4pm
ou are invited to join the bridge at the Municipal Auditorium for a Christmas Give-Away of toys, food, furniture, household items, a concert and more.

Y2K Nashville at the High Watt stage at Mercy Lounge – 11pm
This electronic dance party will feature performances by Coach, Hands Off Sam, and more.
