Lipscomb’s annual Lighting of the Green

You know that Christmas is coming when people start throwing parties about lighting up their Christmas trees, especially Lipscomb. I mean, a lot of people, myself included, have parties to decorate Christmas trees, but how many people can also boast a holiday concert that’s hosted by Amy Grant and features performances by enny Gill, Melinda Doolittle, Point of Grace, Amanda McCaslin, and more?

Well, this is Nashville, so maybe more than I’d expect.

But I digress! Today is Lipscomb’s annual Lighting of the Green. Things get started at 4pm and there will be food, free pictures with Santa, a marketplace for gift-buying, and, of course, the concert that’s hosted by Amy Grant (this starts at 5:30pm). Usually it’s outside, but everything has been moved into the arena because of the nasty weather.
