Celebration of Cultures Festival – 2010

1 Oct

It may not be the World’s Fair, but the Celebration of Cultures Festival has been one of the most beloved festivals in Nashville since it began in 1995. Now in its 14th year the fair was named a “Top 20 Event for Fall 2010″ by Southeast Tourism Society and boasted an attendance of 32,000 last year. This time around they’ll be featuring the “art, music, food, dance, and traditional representations of culture” of over 40 cultures.

The chance to eat food from dozens of different cultures? Count me in!

The festival will run this Saturday, October 2nd from 10am-6pm and admission is completely free. There are more vendors and different events than I could even begin to list, but if nothing else you might want to check out the parade, which starts at the Parthenon at noon.

It should be a great way to spend a beautiful Saturday and I hope to see you there!

The fair has a great atmosphere and the weather should be perfect!

Just walking around, you can tell people are excited to share about their culture. Just dive in & ask questions!

Is this event on October 1 or 2? The little bubble says the first, but the body says the 2nd.

The event is on the second of October. The bubble says Oct 1 because that’s when it was published.

    Sorry for the confusion.
