Tegan & Sara In-Store at Grimey’s
19 Aug
Only a few months ago Tegan & Sara played for a packed house at the Ryman Auditorium. I was there, for free (you might have seen me handing out free Holly Miranda temporary tattoos) and it was pretty freaking awesome.
I hadn’t listened to much of Tegan & Sara before that concert, but I was incredibly impressed. They write some great pop songs and their stage banter was charming, adorable, and hilarious.
It’s not every day that a band that can fill the Ryman chooses to play an acoustic in-store at Grimey’s, but apparently this Saturday is one of those days. At 2pm Tegan & Sara will be playing a short set to whatever fans got there early enough to secure a spot inside of the record store. Now, I can’t tell you with any certainty how early you have to get there to get to see the show, but with Snow Patrol I know that there were plenty of fans lined up before the store even opened. According to the Grimey’s Twitter account, the store will open at 11am as usual and they will hand tickets to the first 120 people in the door, which means none of you will have to experience the same heartbreak I endured when I tried to see Conan at 3rd Man.
So good luck to all of you Tegan & Sara fans. I hope you luck out.

PS,
Even if you miss T&S or they don’t appeal to you, you should stop by Grimey’s at 5pm to see The One and Only Bill Davis, who you might remember from the N4F 8 off 8th Prom. He’s the bomb. Also, there will be free beer.
