Devon Sproule with Young Republic – In-Store at Grimey’s

After a very successful Record Store Day (it was their best sales day ever), Grimey’s is back in the in-store game already with Devon Sproule. She sounds like a really cool lady, just read what Grimey’s had to say about her:

Virginian by way of Canada singer-songwriter Devon Sproule was born and raised on a commune in Ontario, home-schooled and independent from a very young age, she recorded her first record and began touring internationally before the age of 18… Devon has been favorably compared to Joanna Newsom and Paste magazine called her last album “The sexiest, sultriest southern album since Lucinda’s ‘Car Wheels on a Gravel Road.'”

Wow, those are some pretty big words. A comparison to Lucinda means that this girl HAS to be good, at least worth checking out. Oh yeah, NPR likes her too.

Young Republic, a local favorite of Grimey’s, will also be playing.

The in-store is Friday, April 23rd at 6pm
